Eaze (Beta) s an app that lets you connect to your Ubuntu/Linux mint machine (within the same wifi network) and work on it from your android phone performing basic tasks like media (audio) management, desktop navigation, basic system handling etc. This app is currently in beta. So please provide feedback (via email or comment) for its improvement instead of giving it a bad rating. I will work on improving the app and I do hope you enjoy using it.

Privacy Policy:
This App DOES NOT store your personal details like IP Address or Username other than in your device. No Information is uploaded or shared anywhere and all data related to this app will be deleted when you uninstall the app. No password information is stored anywhere, even in your device memory.

HOW TO USE THIS APP:

This app work on most debian based variants of linux, but has been tested to work on both Ubuntu and Linux Mint. To be able to use this app with Linux, you will need two packages to be installed: xdotool and openssh-server. They can be installed by simply copying this onto a terminal (without the quotes) "sudo apt-get install xdotool openssh-server" and then provide the needed authentication.

You would also need to know the ip-address, username and password of your machine to use this app. If you do not know how to get the IP address, type in (without the quotes) "hostname -I". Note down the IP address for use in the app.

Once the needed packages are installed, open the app and press on the "Link" icon in the top right hand corner of the screen. This brings out a pop up which allows you to enter your connection details. Type in your IP address, username and password and press "Ok". If you see the "Link" icon turn blue, It would mean the connection process has been successful. Click on the drawer menu to choose which function you wish to use with your PC.
